EMANUELLE - amazing clutch

480.00

I was commissioned by the Passport for Fashion in Charlotte to make a clutch for Rita this has obviously brought me to this latest design of "wearable art"! I present you my line of purses/clutches.

This log shaped clutch or pochette is made with 8" long recycled magazine paper tubes that culminate in an embrace of a large oval coil at the end. The interior is lined with fabric and I added two extra paper tubes at the bottom to give the clutch a stand.  I stiched the coils to the purse for strength and left the back stitch ends dangling so I could ad a paper bead for embellishment.

My purses/clutches are totally functional and sturdy, my paper merchandise has been caught in the rain on two separate occasions and they came though it unscathed. I stand behind my product and offer a one year guarantee to fix or replace your item.

The process of coiling is a long one, first I cut paper into strips, twirl each strip into a straw like shape, flatten them and then coil each of them into different size coil. This is an extremely time consuming process, but the end result is priceless and inspiring.
