AT WORK - 2015 ecoFAB Collaborative piece

4,200.00

Marynel Watters and I collaborated on this beautiful piece, made with a recycled drop cloth is used for painting homes. It was messy as it was but with the help of Marynel Watters we turned it into this magnificent piece. The dress design was composed in grand part by Elisha Duncan, an amazing jeweler friend of mine who wanted to participate in our 2013 ecoFAB but work constraints forced her to forfeit.  I finished the dress at the time and was waiting for the inspiration to hit on how to continue, it did take two years for inspiration to finally hit. I collected all the paintbrushes from my job, these I used to stain the frames we built. The paint cans are also fully recycled from my life's work. Marynell painted the circles on the canvas, built the "crown" and the faux clutch and made the magnificent shoes to complete the design. Marynel painted the shoes and the ankle fringes are separate from the shoes.
