A Class of Trees - Acrylic Mix Media w/ paper

1,380.00

My first complete green, ecofriendly painting, this is my latest and proudest piece thus far, it is a mix media painting primarily with acrylic paints. I covered one tree with recycled paper to look like the bark of a birch tree. I used paper pulp on one of the trees, Gac 100 on a tree to the right and I topped it all with a layer of clear tar gel. It is presently adorning Sustain Charlotte's corporate office.

I built the frame from scraps of wood that I have laying around from our house repairs and wood that is given to me by friends instead of taking it to the dump. I used some leftover cotton canvas from drapes I made 10 years ago and added a very thin wood border around the edge after staining it with left over walnut stain we used for other house projects.
