Join us for opening reception of "Reinvented, a Sustainable Collection" a solo exhibition of works by Flavia Isabel Lovatelli.

Art is the unspoken language, that which moves us, connects us, breaks the borders and unites us. I try to create work that evoke emotions at the sensory level, fascination, perplexity, confusion, doubt, and the intense desire to touch it, feel the textures, densities, temperatures.

This show is a collaboration between Flavia Lovatelli, Monique Luck, Rocio Llusca, Teresa Rench, Francisco Gonzalez and Marynell Watters in braiding the boundaries between two dimensional art, sculpture and wearable pieces influenced by each other with one or more elements. Sustain Charlotte Awards + Earth Day Celebration

Charlotte 2030: A Sustainable Vision for Our Region

On November 1, 2010, Sustain Charlotte publicly launched Charlotte 2030: A Sustainable Vision for Our Region. This first-of-its-kind vision for our region's future is the product of countless volunteer hours, and the engagement of more than 100 local citizens and experts from many disciplines using a collaborative and consensus-based process, drawn from government, the nonprofit and private sectors, and academia.

These local citizens had expertise in one or more of the ten key issues that comprise this comprehensive vision for local sustainability. The ten issues are: Air, Energy, Food, Buildings and Homes, Economy, Parks, Trees and Green Space, Recycling and Waste Reduction, Social Equity, Transportation, and Water.

Here; Flavia Lovatelli, Marcee Musgrove, Monique Luck, Marynel Watters and Edelweiss De Guzman will bring their "Wearable Art Work" WAW and have a sampling of their artwork for the pleasure of the patrons attending the awards. We would like to have at least 6 models wearing our WAW and The event would like to have the Models present the awards for better effect.
